Roller Blinds
For a roller blind that you are planning to fit within the recess, measure wall to wall, at the top and ceiling to sill. It is important that you measure at the top of the window where you plan to fit the blind as your recess may not be a true square. DO NOT deduct anything from your measurements as we will do this for
you. We will also add extra to your drop to ensure total coverage of the roller when fully extended.
For a blind that will hang outside of a recess or flush against a wall, measure approximately 2" over on both sides and top to bottom and class this as your material size. Again, we will add extra to your drop.
Please ensure you will have enough room to place the brackets. If you would prefer your material to be wider or less than 2" either side, that is fine!
As long as the material covers the opening, your blind will fit nicely.
For made to measure woodweave roman blinds, please follow the instructions for roller blinds.
We will reduce your wall to wall size by half an inch overall. Your drop will be reduced by 5mm so that your blind isn't sitting on the sill.
For fitting made to measure aluminium venetian blinds please see instructions for roller blinds.
We will reduce your wall to wall size by half an inch overall. Your drop will be reduced by 5mm so that it isn't sitting on the sill.
For made to measure wooden venetians, please follow the instructions for roller blinds.
We will reduce your wall to wall size by half an inch and the drop by 5mm so that your blind is not sitting on the sill.
To measure for a bay window
A bay window can be slightly tricky if you plan to fit blinds next to each other on each window, so to ensure we know the maximum width your blind could possibly be we need you to measure from the outside of your first frame to the very centre of the next frame section, repeating this until you come to the outside of the last frame as shown in the diagram below.
Order this as an outside bracket to bracket measurement.
Measure the drop, top to sill as normal.
DO NOT reduce anything from your measurements as we will do this for you.
