How to: Take care of your blind

vertical blind care

Vertical Blinds

The majority of our vertical blind fabrics can be machine washed. You will receive washing instructions with your order. Remove the weights, hangers and chains, roll the slats into a ball and pop them into a pillow case and secure the end by tying. Wash at 40 degrees using a mild detergent. Miss the final spin of the cycle and remove. Either leave somewhere safe, fully flat, to dry - or alternatively, hang whilst damp away from direct sunlight.

Do not tumble dry or iron your slats.

Non machine washable fabrics can be gently sponged or dry dusted. To reduce the risk of shrinkage with some fabrics, do not soak. Some of our fabrics can be gently hand washed in warm soapy water one slat at a time, taking care not to overly crease the fabric. A bath tub is ideal for this job. Please see individual fabric descriptions for further details.

roller blind care

Roller Blinds

Can be vacuumed using a soft brush attachment, sponged using a very small amount of mild detergent in warm water, or can be dry dusted.

Do not use polish or any other cleaning fluid that may stain the fabric.

Do not overly soak the fabric. Use a paper towel to remove any excess moisture.

To avoid any mould forming, do not roll your blind if damp. Allow to dry out fully before rolling up.
Please see individual material descriptions for further details.

Woodweave Roman Blinds

Can be vacuumed with a soft brush attachment or wiped over with a slightly damp cloth or a light polish sprayed directly onto the cloth not the blind itself.
